Supported Devices

Aurasma employs cutting-edge image recognition technology.  It therefore requires host devices to have a rear camera (i.e. a camera on the back of the device) and processing power equivalent to an ARMv7 or above.

Some budget or older devices therefore will not be able to run Aurasma.

We run extensive tests to ascertain which devices can support our 3D engine.  Due to the high number of Android devices available on the market and the present lack of industry standards for processing power and 3D drivers, not all devices on the market can support full Aurasma functionality. We are working closely with the major OEMs and chipset manufacturers to optimise future devices for Augmented Reality experiences.

If your device is not listed below it doesn’t necessarily mean it doesn’t support Aurasma – it may mean we haven’t tested it yet.

If you would like to report issues with Aurasma’s functionality or take part in our 3D testing programme, please submit a request on our Community Support Site, listing your device model.
